Two replacements for OCLC Classify
Borrower categories
Borrowers in 3 “exempt” categories will be moved to non-exempt categories by May 31
“Staff - library associate (exempt)” borrowers will become “Adult - library associate”
“Student (exempt)” borrowers at public libraries will become “Student (public library)”
“Teacher/Faculty/Administrator (exempt)” borrowers will become “Teacher/Faculty/Administrator (public library)”
After this process is complete, “Staff - library associate (exempt)” will be removed from the system
After this process is complete, “Student (exempt)” and “Teacher/Faculty/Administrator (exempt)” will be limited to school district borrowers
All libraries using “Other” borrower categories will be asked to evaluate their use of those categories to see if they are, in fact, necessary or useful

34 voted
33 voted in favor of adopting the policy - 1 voted against
NEKLS executive board needs to approve
