Accelerated Reader in Next Search Catalog
With Aspen Discovery, Accelerated Reader data for all bibliographic records in Next Search Catalog (that are cataloged correctly) will be automatically added to Aspen Discovery on a weekly basis.
This means:
The Accelerated Reader data in Aspen Discovery will be accurate and up to date within a week of a title being cataloged
It will be possible for staff and patrons to easily search Aspen Discovery by Accelerated Reader interest level, reading level, and point value
Accelerated Reader data will appear in these spots in Next Search Catalog
To search by Accelerated Reader levels or values in Next Search Catalog:
Go to the home page in the catalog, A) choose “Advanced Search” from the drop-down, then B) click “Search”
You will find the Accelerated Reader options about half-way down the page
To do a search by Accelerated Reader interest level:
Choose a value from the “AR Interest Level” drop down
then click on “Find”
To do a search by Accelerated Reader reading level:
Enter a numeric value in the “AR Reading Level” “From” and “To” input boxes
then click on “Find”
To do a search by Accelerated Reader point value:
Enter a numeric value in the “Ar Point Value” “From” and “To” input boxes
then click on “Find”
And you can combine multiple values
Combine interest levels, reading levels, and point values to create a more specific search
then click on “Find”
